vs Dan

Statistics:
Stamina: 1,000
Stun: 900
Fighting Style: Saikyo-Ryu
Fighter Type: Versatile

vs Dan: 5.5 - 4.5
Pros: No big combos, sub-par normals
Cons: Few options vs. DKK pressure up close

Move List:
Dankyukyaku (DKK) - Safe on block, worse is -2 frames. Air DKK lags and has good priority. Armor breaks.
Gadoken (GDK) - Short-range projectile, does high damage.
Koryuken (KYK) - AA move, good invul frames.

Hissho Buraiken (S) - Stationary rush super which deals a surprisingly good amount of damage.
Legendary Taunt (S) - Lol... can be canceled into Ultra.
Shisso Buraiken (U1) - Dash ultra, can be linked from EX Gadoken. Projectile invul on start-up.
Haoh Gadoken (U2) - Short-range projectile ultra, used mainly in FADC combos.

Preferred Ultra: Soulless/Breathless
No specific reason to use Breathless or Soulless, so I think either ultra is fine. Just go for your personal preference here.

Character Videos:

Strategy:
I don't think Dan is the push over everyone thinks he is, against Abel at least. Abel's biggest issue is in handling DKK pressure which he has almost no options against up close. Rolling past him then punishing from behind seems to be the best bet, or landing a hit on him in the air. His mix-ups from that pressure are standard stuff but can be frustrating at times.

Still, pressure still works on him like every other character and his normals aren't that great compared to the rest of the cast. You can't approach this match carelessly, but you don't have to hold back. Above all, do not underestimate Dan at all! He can seriously whack up your shit if you do. His taunt is legendary.

Flipside:
To be updated.

Notes:
- Dankyaku can be stuffed from far using st.MP.
- GDK range has been buffed in SSF4, especially EX GDK.
- U2 range is very short but Dan flies back after. Roll through to punish.
