Been updating the site a bit, still have lots of things to come:
- Did up the World Warriors page, it has pictures now
- Changed the template for the vs match-up pages to be more concise
- Added Oni, Evil Ryu, Yun and Yang in (Yun and Yang still under construction)
- Updated the tournament info for Battle Royale 2

Updates (29 May 2011)
Ok so I've been on a hiatus from fighting games for almost like, 2 months now or more even. Haven't really had much time to handle work, marriage and play fighting games much. Right now I have a bit of leeway and a tournament coming up soon so I'll be getting as much as I can before I'm on hiatus again.
Well, first order or business, there's a tag team tournament organised by ICMY and sponsored by Gamer's Hideout happening on the 25th of June. The tournament is Battle Royale 2 which precedes the first one that happened earlier last year. The tournament commemorates the new Arcade Edition of SSF4 which happens a week or 2 earlier. Be there.
On that note, AE... I haven't even touched it yet. No familiarity what-so-ever with Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni if they're usable. So, my focus for the most part would be to learning what these bad boys can do and trying to find suitable match-up counters with Abel. Tune in for that. Also will be trying to shake off the rust as much as I can.

Updates (8th March 2011)
Okay, I haven't updated this site for a lonnng time. I've been busy with loads of stuff and I will likely be busy with a lot more stuff. What stuff? Well, the wedding plans for one. Work wise too (maybe). And also with MvC3 training. So, SSF4 may take a backseat for a while, but I'm definitely gonna be on SSF4 training come April. Hopefully I'll have time to revisit this site and add more stuff before the tournament.
Till then, there's still loads to read up on this site if you haven't already, explore and enjoy!
Note: Oh yea, there are 2 tournaments coming up on the 27th of March in Penang, check the ICMY forums for info on that.

Updates (27 Jan 2011)
Have continued updating the match-up notes, its about 80% done at the moment. Tournament in Penang is this Sunday (shout out to JeSen Blanka and Sam Vega; win that PSP) and if you're going, good luck. Watch out for these two hah.
Need to add images to the World Warrior home page too. Also, video studies.

Updates (17 Jan 2010)

- New tournament in Penang on 30th Jan 2011.
- New template for match-ups; now with pictures! Only World Warriors are left.
- Revised all notes as best I can.

Updates (15 Jan 2011)
Done a lot of work on revising the match-up section, especially the strategy and videos part. Alpha characters have been totally revised now. Also, have an idea to make the match-up section look neater. Hope that will help a bit in navigating the site.
Updates (11 Jan 2011)
Been working on the site, here's a list of updates:
- Added videos for Sagat, Rose, Claw, Dudley, Dhalsim, C.Viper and Rufus.
- New tier list from iPlaywinner (Jan 2011) is on the site.
- Video study #5: Ibuki vs. Abel is done.
- SSF4 AE DLC potential for 2011
- Match-up stuff has/is being updated.
- New EPIC Breathless tribute video!
- AE Edition nerfs to Abel
- Updated tournament details for MMU Gamefest 2011
On the match-up part, its mostly formatting and the preferred ultras for the characters. I'll continue beefing up the formatting and stuff, then work on getting the missing entries finished up (at least a prelim one), then adding videos/video studies to them.
Also in preparation for the MMU Gamefest 2011 in April. Its going to be real tough, going with my "student" Cammy player and not my usual team-mate but hopefully I can perform and bring my A-game to the table. At the moment I'm hitting the room with Abel, Adon and Cammy to help my team-mate out. Hopefully in the midst of my training I'll glean a thing or two about the other match-ups that you'd find useful too.
There's also another tournament supposedly coming up in March (kudos to Leomaster) but I can't seem to find details about that tournament. Won't be going for that one though.

Updates (3 January 2011)
Hey guys,
No new updates yet, sorry. I explored the Dee Jay matchup a bit more and actually its pretty damn hard for Abel. That Flash Kick-like move really messes Abel up cause of the fast recovery. I'll put all my thoughts down in paper real soon.
So, yeah. Happy new year guys! This year is gonna be a good one for SSF4! Here's my wish list:
1. More tournaments in Malaysia
2. Me getting an arcade stick
3. Arcade edition coming to Malaysia
4. More SSF4 players in Malaysia
Alright enough said. Will get down to business when I can so stay tuned.

Updates (25 December 2010)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody! This year has passed in a blink of an eye indeed. Here's to hoping that you all have a good one next year and the year after that! Keep on rolling Abel peeps!
On that note, here's a couple of presents in the spirit of Xmas cheer:
- Tournament vids of the Alienware comp. at Fahrenheit 88 last October
- Gameplay update of Abel in SSF4:AE
- New tournament scheduled in April 2011 (MMU Gamefest 2011)
Alright enough for now... Dee Jay and Video Studies will have to wait, I'm having a flu and its 1 a.m. in the morn.

Updates (21 December 2010)
Been away for about a month sorting life out. Work took up a lot of my time these past 3-4 weeks, barely had time to breathe and on top of that I had to settle my wedding plans (yes, I am getting married) next year which is unsurprisingly a lot of work. This has led to me not being able to update this site as often as I'd like let alone play SSF4 at all. Apologies in any case.
Now that its the end of the year and things have somewhat settled down, its time for me to get back on track. I'll be trying to do another video study soon and I managed to get some games in with a fairly good Dee Jay. Also, there was that tournament at Fahrenheit, KL I couldn't go for (sob) which was small but had loads of top players in it. I'll see if I can link those vids too.
I've heard loads of things about Abel arcade edition and the changes to Abel's U2 (no armor on release). Well, that's a right bummer sure enough but I suppose we'll have to live with it. U1 seems a lot more attractive now vs. fireballers that's for sure.

Updates (22 October 2010)
Video Study #3 is out! Its a match between Juicebox Abel and Wolfkrone at EVO 2010 some time ago and some example of high level Abel/Viper play. Check that out.
And what do you know, Video Study #4 is out as well! Another high level match between Rico Suave and none other than Tokido himself, lots to learn on the Akuma match-up there.
I've also added a Video Studies section under each of the character's match-up notes so you can reference them according to character. Will be doing a review check of each of the notes to make sure the info is up-to-date and/or relevant.

Updates (13 October 2010)
Ok haven't done the video studies yet (again)... keep delaying cause well Starcraft 2 and work takes up most of my time now :/ Will try and get something done soon! Maybe this weekend.
Updates on two upcoming tournaments are up... Alienware Arena this coming weekend at Bukit Bintang, KL and Hobbycon 2010 this December at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Check out the links in the tournament pages for more details.
EDIT: OK so no video study last weekend either... I'll really try and get something done tonight. Swear. Anyway Alienware tournament concluded last weekend, if you were there you'd have been able to see some awesome play.

Updates (27 Sept 2010)
Noticed that I hadn't finished up the article on focus so I did that up last week. I'm not sure if I really conveyed the message I want to in there but heck I hope it helps. Still haven't gotten down to finishing up a video study... lets try to get one done tonight.
Under the tournaments section, I've added 2 new tournaments to the schedule. We have the Dreamhack 2010 qualifiers for Malaysia coming up early next month and another more casual tournament in Sabah in December. Full details and R&R aren't out yet but when they are I'll post them in here. Also, if you're from/in Penang, check out the Weekly Ranbats there every Friday.

Updates (14 September 2010)
Wow, its been like a month since the last update! Been too fixated on SC2 at the moment. In case anybody was wondering, I'm not quitting SSF4 for SC2 though I certainly haven't been practicing as much as I should at it. I'll try to put in some time into a video study tonight to get things rolling again unless the draw of SC2 is too much for me to bear...
Still, there's word of 2 local tournaments coming up towards the end of this year and at least one of them is going to be big. I'll be trying my hand at it and hopefully I'll be able to shake off all that rust I accumulated.
EDIT: I've cleaned up the formating (finally) for the vs World Warriors section. The content is still not revised fully yet; will get to it when I can. Also, I took some time to write out part 1/3 on Abel's corner game.

Updates (9 August 2010)
Been busy with work, life and recently Starcraft II as of late so I haven't really been working on SSF4 training. Might continue taking a break till the next tournament comes around (maybe next month or so) but if I have time I'll update the match-up notes and continue with the vids/articles if I come across anything.
Did manage to get some good games with Bison and Fei Long over the past 2 weeks. Not sure if I have anything much to add though, I'll take another look at the notes.

Updates (22 July 2010)
- Reformatting of match-up notes
- New tier list on Eventhubs
Working on getting all the match-up notes up and proper, I think the World Warriors section is still outstanding. We got a new tier list from a Japanese source to look at, interestingly (but not surprisingly?) Chun-Li is up top, pushing the ol' favourites down the list. Abel still maintains his position at A (or maybe B?) tier.
Will take a look at a video tonight for study and if I have time I'll scrounge up an interesting article.

Updates (14 July 2010)
Revised updates for 14 July:
- Added post-tourney review for BMS 2010
- First video study on Abel vs. Ryu
- Interpretation of real life tips for street fighting for SSF4
Following up from my last update about the pads... LOL no it wasn't ok, the Xbox360 pad is officially shit haha! Should have looked harder for that 6-button Madcatz pad. Anyway check out the post-tourney review for BMS 2010, that's up and despite my early exit, it was really great and as hype as I thought it'd be.
I've done up one video study on Abel vs. Ryu based on an old SF4 tourney match of mine for now. Its not a professional study but it has one lesson from it which left an impression on me. Btw, if anyone wants to put up their videos here for study, please upload it to youtube, drop me a link in the comments and I'll put the video up.
Also stumbled upon an interesting read about street fighting tips. I translated the tips into SSF4 gaming terms and it turned out to be pretty interesting.

Updates (8 July 2010)
More updates coming your way:
- Added the eventhub's lexicon, definitions etcetra
- Explantions on the match-up categories and the match-up structure
- Added a new section in the match-up notes called Preferred Ultra
- Reformatting of the Newcomers match-up notes in progress
Tomorrow I fly to Singapore... been preparing hard for the last 3 days for BMS 2010. Bit worried about it being on the Xbox360 coz of the pad (its so much worse than the PS3 pad) but I should be ok. Actually considering buying the Madcatz pad for the Xbox360 now coz I really feel like I'm playing at 80% with the normal pad. Well suppose I'll go take a look at it tonight. Looking forward to the experience regardless.

Updates (7 July 2010)
Here's the most current updates:
- Revised gameplay section on ultras
- Added in 2 new articles on Playing to Win by Sirlin and The Footsies Handbook by Maj
- Finished current match-up notes for all Alpha characters
- Updated tier list with Mago/Nemo Arcadia list from Eventhubs
- Put up a new look for the website
- Updated match-up notes for Abel
EDIT: I hope you guys like the new look for the site! Revised the Alpha match-ups once again and also a bit of C.Viper and Abel. The formatting is bad for some of the notes... bear with me while I revise those.
Amazingly I've done up the match-up notes for the Alpha cast. Well, Gen's and Dan's is slightly lacking but not many people use them so its hard to make decent notes for them.
Battle Medley will be coming this weekend so I'll be pretty much tied up with training at night. Worse, the game is going to be played on the xbox360 so I'm going to have to start practicing with the xbox pad. Update more when I can, focus will likely be on the match-up notes.
Thinking of looking for a good match video for Abel on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun night to watch and comment on. Would be good for my training. Maybe not this week, but soon probably.
I also got this nice idea I hope of putting the links to the updated pages in the update page itself, so people won't have to go searching all over for the post I'm talking about.
