Pros: Lower stamina, slow walk speed, weak reversal
Cons: Good mix-ups, fast dash speed, high damage potential

Movelist:
Hayate - Close/long range strike, mostly safe on block (EX knocksdown).
Karakusa - Grab that sets up for combos (like Fei Long's Tenshin (EX has armor).
Oroshi - Slow strike but is an overhead. Armor breaks (EX is hit invul).
Fukiage - Anti-air move, usually only used as a combo ender but also prevents cross-ups.
Tsurugi - Aerial special used as air pressure, good hitbox.

Tandan Renki (S) - Cancels from Hayate and can link leniently into her U1.
Seichusen Godanzuki (U1) - Close range strike ultra, easily connected off a Karakusa.
Abare Tosanami (U2) - Off-the wall strike with variable range. Can be combo-ed after it hits but no real way to combo into this normally. On hit, can be jump-canceled.

Preferred Ultra: Breathless
You can launch Breathless on reaction to a Hayate. You can corner trap her with Breathless as well, compounded by the fact that her only armor breaker is a close range, pretty slow ground pound and that her air move makes her jump arc fall faster rather than delay her.

Notes:
- From range, Makoto likes to use her HAY and EX HAY to close the distance. Discourage her by constantly FA-ing from long range as HAY does not break armor.
